Each month, the McHenry County Substance Awareness Coalition meets to discuss vital data relating to substance use, including:
Overdose death statistics from the McHenry County Coroner’s Office
Data regarding emergency department visits, emergency medical services interactions, and calls to the Illinois Poison Center, presented by the McHenry County Department of Health
Findings and insights from community agencies regarding upticks in particular substances being used, experiences they are hearing from program participants, or changes that they hear from participants
Our monthly meetings are open to the public! Anyone is welcome to join us and learn more about the state of substance use in McHenry County and ask questions directly to professionals working in the field of substance use, harm reduction, and recovery.
